Paediatric Physiotherapy in Albany
Paediatric physiotherapy is a specialised branch of physiotherapy focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with movement disorders or developmental challenges. It aims to enhance physical function, promote mobility, and support overall development in children from infancy through adolescence.
Our team develops treatment management programs, with the support of the patients family, that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and play-based interventions, tailored to each child’s unique needs.
The goal is to empower children to achieve their maximum potential, improve their quality of life, and facilitate participation in daily activities and sports.
Our Team
Our paediatric physiotherapist, Bec, and paediatric occupation therapist, Michelle, are qualified in the assessment of musculoskeletal conditions, specifically in the children. This includes assessment of congenital conditions, general injuries, developmental and coordination disorders, hand and upper limb disfunction and cater intervention programs targeted at play, school and everyday tasks for kids.
Where injury, altered muscle tone (low or high) or a specific condition is impacting on their ability to engage in play, self care and school, Bec and Michelle work closely with the families to design individual treatment management to suit your child.
