Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a therapeutic technique used to treat children with motor difficulties by provoking specific postural and functional motor responses through purposeful, precise, and challenging movement experiences.
DMI therapy is designed to stimulate neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to form new connections and helps children develop improved balance, postural control, strength, and gross motor function. It is particularly effective for children with neurological conditions, developmental delay, or challenges with motor control and coordination.
WHO is DMI SUitable FOR?
DMI is suitable for infants and children with:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Genetic Syndromes
- Developmental Delay or prematurity
- Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
- Other Neuromuscular conditions affecting movement and posture
DMI can be used with children as young as a few months old and is adaptable to meet each child’s unique presentation and goals.

What does a session look like for your child?
